Online conference
A decade ago Dubai, world architectural leader, had one of the largest ecological footprints of any city in the world. By 2050 it wants to have the smallest. To get there, another city is becoming a reference model: Singapore.
"As Sustainability advocates, we {Yann Follain and his team} work to maximise human well-being by the responsible use of resources through sensitive green design, which minimises negative environmental impact when designing objects, buildings and spaces. While passive architecture is promoted in our projects, we believe that tropical sustainable architecture shall be adapted responses to tackle the contextual issues faced by the rapidly‐growing metropolises in the Southeast Asia region: climate change, recurrent natural disasters, air and water pollution, harm to biodiversity and the sourcing of materials."
"We will be sharing how the vision of transforming Singapore into a CITY IN NATURE is informing our design approach and methodology. To redefine the nature from mere beautification into something that is more meaningful and functional, to imbibe it in the DNA of the urban fabric and built environment, and more importantly strengthening connectivity with green spaces."
